Viva Cultura
A Cinco de Mayo celebration of Latin X dance and heritage

New Hope, PA – Roxey Ballet proudly presents Viva Cultura!, a vibrant and inclusive celebration of culture, dance, and community, happening over Cinco de Mayo weekend at the Mill Ballet School, located at 46 North Sugan Road, New Hope, PA.
Created by Mark Roxey, and sponsored by and held at the Mill Ballet School, this FREE EVENT brings together the Delaware River communities of Pennsylvania and New Jersey to experience the power of the arts through a lively blend of dance classes, live performances, music, drumming, Flamenco, Latin ballroom, and more.
Artists featured will include the company dancers of Roxey Ballet, the Mill Ballet School Trainees, drummer Kojo Ayinde, Bombazo Dance Co, Grupo Folklore LATAM, Lisa Botalico, Stephanie Micken and her ballroom students, Lynn Needle, and more!
Viva Cultura! is designed to build bridges across cultures and communities, inviting people of all backgrounds and ages to celebrate together in a spirit of unity, creativity, and joy.
With the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) through their prestigious grant, Roxey Ballet has been able to amplify the voices of Latinx artists and share their heritage with audiences of all backgrounds. We are thrilled to create space that serves as a bridge between cultures. The performance will include works from Roxey Ballet choreographed by Mark Roxey and Giovanni Ravelo including Mary Luz, Frida Kahlo and Meu Bem.
